Survey: Perceptions of Sleep Disorders Dentistry Amongst Dentists in Australia/NZ

The Australasian Sleep Association together with the Australian Dental Association are working together to collect data on how dentists manage patients who have questions about oral appliances for the treatment of sleep-related breathing disorders or who the dentist thinks may have undiagnosed sleep apnoea. We invite dentists to participate in the survey to better understand the scope and needs of Dental Sleep Medicine in Australia and New Zealand. These data will be used to help plan for and deliver appropriate education, training, mentoring and support for this growing field.

The survey will only take 10 minutes and is an important step in improving the practice of dental sleep medicine. As an incentive, 10 double movie ticket vouchers will be randomly awarded to responders. The results of this survey will be presented at both ADA and ASA meetings for further discussion and debate in the coming months, as well as published as appropriate.

Please encourage our non ASA member dental colleagues to also participate in this questionnaire by forwarding this link on or making them aware that it will be featured in an up and coming ADA e-newsletter.
