Members honoured in Queen's Birthday list

Two ASA members have been included in this week's Queen's Birthday Honours list.

Congratulations to Professor Rosemary Horne who received a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) and Dr Ramesh Balasubramaniam who received a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM).

Professor Horne was honoured for significant service to paediatric medicine and to infant mortality prevention. Her impressive research achievements were listed, alongside significant contributions to the Australasian Sleep Association and a number of other professional associations,

Dr Balasubramaniam was honoured for service to dentistry, which included significant contributions to professional associations like the Australasian Sleep Association. 

"It's wonderful to see ASA members recognised for their achievements across diverse disciplines," said CEO, Marcia Balzer.

"Being a dynamic interdisciplinary association, the ASA draws enormous strength from the diversity of perspectives and achievements of our broad membership. We give Rosemary and Ramesh our hearty congratulations on being recognised for their amazing contributions to health and the community."
