An exciting opportunity exists for a suitably qualified Sleep Scientist (Grade 2) to work in a sleep/ cardiovascular research for a multi-centre sleep apnoea/ cardiac arrhythmia trial.
Your main duties will be:
- To work closely with the research nurse in screening volunteers for obstructive sleep apnoea and maintaining the trial database.
- To stage and score portable sleep studies (Somte portable device)
- Apply CPAP therapy to volunteers who meet the inclusion criteria for the trial
- Appropriately follow up volunteers and assist with any problems with CPAP devices or mask fit.
Successful candidates must have experience working in a sleep disorders centre, interpreting polysomnographic data and applying CPAP therapy.
