Institute, University of Sydney is seeking a candidate for a PhD research fellowship position
for an NHMRC funded project examining: Sleep architecture and memory consolidation in neurodegenerative disease.
A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for a suitably qualified candidate with a good
honours degree in neuropsychology, psychology, clinical neuroscience or applied physiology.
This study will examine the relationship between sleep architecture and memory across a
range of neurodegenerative diseases. Set in a state-of-the art clinical environment and using
objective sleep physiology measures, the findings of this unique project will contribute
significantly to the field of sleep, neuropsychology and neurodegenerative disease.
Applicants should have a particular interest in clinical research and should hold a minimum of
an Honours Degree with Class II-A1 or equivalent academic qualification. Applicants must be
Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or New Zealand citizens.
The scholarship is valued at $26,000 per annum (tax exempt) and may be renewed for up to
three years, subject to satisfactory progress. The project steering committee and supervisors
